Head Coach
Preston Ailor poailor@henrico.k12.va.us- Coach Ailor is in his first year as head coach, seventh with the Rebels. Also a Rebel, Coach Ailor was on 4 district
championship teams as well as the last regional championship team from Freeman. Under the tutelage of Coach Drew Bright and
Eric Crushshon, he was a four year starter winning two district championships and one regional championship. Throughout his
senior year he was ranked as high as third in the state. Coach Ailor continued his wrestling career for a short time at George
Mason University. After transferring to Virginia Commonwealth University, he pursued other athletic interest competing in
Track and Field for the Rams. With his solid work ethic and dedication to the sport, he stands to strengthen the program.
Assistant
Coaches
Jim Butcher - Coach Butcher is in his fourteenth year as an assistant at
Freeman. He came to us through the open mats held in the spring. His love for wrestling brought him in as a volunteer with
Coach Bright and has been a part of Freeman ever since. Coach Butcher enjoyed success in both high school and college. In
high school he was consistently ranked number one in the state and only lost one match in his final two years, which was to
a college wrestler. In college he was a multiple time conference champ. He has since picked up wrestling again wining multiple
Master's National Championships and medaling at the Master's World Championships. With his success and experience
both personal and coaching, Coach Butcher brings a wealth of knowledge to the wrestling program.
Josh Fultz - Coach Fultz has been helping out at Freeman
for years. A Rebel himself, he is one of Freeman's most decorated wrestlers. Under the instruction of Coach Bright, Coach
Fultz is a four time district champion, four time regional finalist, a 3 time regional champion, and a four time state place
winner. His success transferred to the division one level at James Madison University where he was a muli-year starter and
a CAA placer for the Dukes. His dedication to freeman wrestling and his meticulous coaching style makes him an asset to the
program.
